We are seeking a talented Controls Engineer to join our team and contribute to the design, development, and implementation of control systems for our manufacturing processes. This role will involve working with cutting-edge technologies such as Beckhoff or Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLC systems, as well as utilising IEC 61131-3 programming languages like Structured Text and Sequential Function Chart (SFC).
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and program PLC-based control systems using Beckhoff or Allen-Bradley and Siemens platforms.
- Develop and implement control strategies to optimise manufacturing processes and improve efficiency.
- Create and maintain PLC code using IEC 61131-3 programming languages, including Structured Text and Sequential Function Chart (SFC).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate control systems with existing equipment and processes.
- Conduct testing and troubleshooting of control systems to ensure reliability and performance.
- Support commissioning and start-up activities for new installations and system upgrades.
- Provide technical expertise and support for continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience in PLC programming with Beckhoff or Allen-Bradley and Siemens systems.
- Proficiency in IEC 61131-3 programming languages, especially Structured Text and Sequential Function Chart (SFC).
- Familiarity with industrial automation systems and control theory.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyse complex systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Prior experience in manufacturing or industrial automation is preferred.
