Job description

Responsibilities:

• Performs or approves calculations and studies necessary for discipline specific deliverables including but not limited to loading study, voltage drop, cable pulling, PLS CADD overhead line modelling, etc.
• Work with estimation and Project Management resources to ensure estimates accurately reflect the project scope and risks.
• Identify any non-standard material or design requirements at the scoping stage, and champion the Management of Change Process.
• Identify any gaps in standards and guidelines and develop recommendations for updates of technical documentation to the Team Lead
• Leads the development of new processes and guidelines

Qualifications & Experience:

• 10+ years of progressive experience in the areas of Design Engineering and Project Engineering.
• Expert computer literacy, including software and database management, as well as expert understanding of technical concepts.
• Working knowledge of PLS CADD and principles of overhead Distribution and Transmission line design
• Must hold a valid driver's license and be able to attend site visits.
