Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Location: Stevenage, Hertfordshire

Contract: Permanent Opportunities, Full Time & Part Time available

What will I be doing?

Our client are hiring multiple Principal Mechanical Design Engineers, meaning you'll have opportunities to work in all areas of their Product Life Cycles, from Mechanical Future Concepts, through to Detailed Design and Qualification, Production and In Service Support.

You will be working together with your local specialist team, and wider multi-disciplinary departments on a diverse range of world class products, leading the development of mechanical solutions on a variety of complex systems.

What do you need from me?

Important: To be eligible, you'll need to have or be able to obtain Security Clearance, and as a minimum have been living in the UK for 5 years.

You're an experienced Mechanical Designer, comfortable leading mechanical design work packages as part of a multi-disciplinary team. You'll have design experience across the Product Life Cycle (CADMID), and will be comfortable using your communication skills to influence and negotiate with stakeholders across the business.

You may have a Degree/HND/HNC level qualification, or have the equivalent level experience in Mechanical Design and Development in one of the following areas; Mechanisms, Structures, Assembly and Integration, Concept down selection and development.

We're looking for someone who has an understanding of delivering compliance through proving and qualification activities. Any previous experience in the Defence / Aerospace industries would be beneficial, but isn't essential for you to apply.
